Positive Mind Metaphysics (PMM) is such a wonderfully practical and transformative veneration. It’s so uplifting that you can’t help sharing it with everyone you meet.

In my line of work as a New Thought author and speaker, I have the privilege of treating it with professionalism and I can engage in serious discussion about its benefits and uses. What I do usually depends on what a person wants to know but most often I’ll reinterpret its teachings, deconstruct its philosophy, or walk through some aspect of its methodology step by step.

It’s a highly enjoyable and rewarding business and I derive real benefit from what I do. Every time I receive an inspired message, I gain greater insight and with every guided ritual I grow stronger in my own metaphysical ability.

My firm belief is that anyone and everyone can independently develop a system of effective PMM for daily use, but I also believe that successful PMM requires an understanding of its core truths. Manifesting our desires is perhaps the most important aspect of PMM for most people whether those desires pertain to physical or spiritual aims and thankfully the methodology can be applied in either case if we follow it correctly.

Using Our Creative Gifts

I post on social media, blog or speak, to demonstrate positive mind metaphysics in action much in the way that Neville Goddard did. He would perform intercessory prayers called treatments for private clients but always laid heavy emphasis on the importance of us all activating the power of the process within ourselves. Neville believed that to use our creative gifts to achieve definite aims, was to participate inthe fulfilment of the divine purpose of life. Think of this in terms of what the meaning of life is and what our individual role within it might be. This is a question that most of us ask at some point and according to Neville using our innate creative abilities to craft meaningful and successful lives is the only path to the answer.

When I first began to practice positive mind metaphysics, I struggled with finding a direct link between my thoughts and my daily experiences and worse I couldn’t seem to make my desires come true. I wasn’t deterred, instead I became  determined to prove the theory for myself. I spent endless hours researching, training, testing, and tweaking the techniques, meditating, praying, and “going in to the silence. I really can’t tell what set the fire maybe it was a little bit of everything but having achieved my objective I felt compelled to freely share my ‘success formula’ with others.

In my book, Infinite Possibility, I focus on making positive mind metaphysics as easy to understand as possible and lay out a guide for establishing a connection between the outward and inner selves, (or more commonly the conscious and subconscious mind). This is a fundamental stipulation which once met, frees the reader to apply the philosophy of PMM to any area of their lives. Short, simple exercises support daily use which I highly recommend for best results.  I personally devote time each day to the endeavor, sometimes spending as little as five minutes in a state of inward consultation which has proven to be invaluable.  I live fearlessly, I live well. Although my outlook is not earthward my human existence is truly joyous.

The Bible teaches a wonderful lesson which supports this position. In the passage “for lack of knowledge the people perish” (Hosea) we’re told that without consummation of the outward and inner beings, humankind cannot activate their inner gifts.  To perish or to suffer death or ruin refers to the absence of action, and in this context knowledge (in biblical language) connotes consummation rather than facts or information. In other words, without the union of the two aspects of self, there can be no activation of our inner life-giving creative power. In another verse (If thine eye be single; thy body will be full of light Matthew) we’re told that a single outlook (eye) fills us with light which in biblical language connotes power. The bible is filled with allegorical symbolism of this type all of which points towards the unveiling of our spiritual attributes for their divinely intended use.

Unify the Inner and the Outer

I firmly believe that trying to make positive mind metaphysics work in a meaningful way is an exercise in futility until the union of the outer and inner beings has taken place. The moment you shift your attention inward and engage in mental activity the connection is made, what makes it strong is repetition which can be so frequent thatthe connection becomes perpetual. When it happens, you’ll know. You’ll experience an unmistakable psychological shift that moves you from the realm of wishful thinking, did it didn’t it, and tingly feelings to a state of unshakable confidence in your ability to create new tangible realities. You’ll also find that you’re suddenly able to manifest your desires whenever and however you want.

Start now by being deliberate in your actions, choose to trust your intuition and play with your feelings. Notice how what you feel correlates with what you’re experiencing. Experiment with different forms of meditation or (as is my preference)use metaphysical instruction to deepen your spiritual awareness.  Before long you’ll have taught yourself to interpret and use the language of emotion which in turn will enable you to express your desires in outward physical form.

If positive mind metaphysics is entirely new to you, try this. Before you drift off to sleep take a deep breath and, with your eyes closed, mentally call out your own name. Try not to let your mind wander and as best you can ignore any physical stimuli. Stay softly still which means that you’re not forcing yourself to lie still but rather allowing yourself to do so. Having mentally called out your own name, listen as though something internal were replying to you and imagine hearing a voice answer. The response you get is coming from your other being which is your invisible self, always present and awaiting your acknowledgement.

As soon as you have done the question and answer you can relax into sleep. You can repeat the cycle as often as you like but I dont recommend you spend more than 1-2 minutes on this. The exercise doesn’t require any special knowledge only a willingness to try, and once the wheels are set in motion, the rest will take care of itself.

The power to change your life lies within you, so don’t delay release it today.

Get ready to soar!

  1. Hallo Kate
I Am so pleased to have met you via your interview with Brian Scott. The day before I listened to this interview I had asked to meet wise, talented, sophisticated black women on the path of Neville Goddard. And You showed up on Brian Scotts show. I was thrilled. You are the very first person and Thankfully a woman I heard say; on a Neville Goddard show; what you said about the practical challenges experienced by people of different ethnicity irrespective of who they may be. I was born in South Africa and grew up during the apartheid era – a misfit in many more ways than one. Thank you Kate for showing up in my life. I have listened to your interviews and love your energy. I’ve decided to wait to get your 2nd book with the Glossary of Terminology. Please let me know if your books are available in any Bookstores in Cape Town where I can pay in our local currency – The SA Rand. Thank you so much

  2. Kate,

Thank you for the article and thank you to all who manage and contribute to this site.

I have been studying the lectures and talks of Neville Goddard and recently Ernest Holmes for the past few months. I originally found this site via Mitch Horowitz’s article, Neville Goddard: A Cosmic Philosopher (another great article!). I had just finished reading it when I thought to myself how, as a black woman, it would be so refreshing to see another black woman discuss these ideas. Lo and behold, I search Neville Goddard on this site and see your name and article pop up. Thank you for sharing your perspective and suggestions. I look forward to checking out your Youtube channel as well!
