On Valentine’s Day an interfaith movement is rising up across the USA and around the world and declaring that revolutionary love is the call of our times. Moral resistance, they say, must be grounded in love.
Adyashanti once told me activism needs to based on what we love, not what we fear.
This is a beautiful response to the executive order insanity of the last month in keeping with Adya’s words. It declares Valentine’s Day — V-Day — a “day of rising, a day of revolutionary love.” The interfaith movement is supported by Mark Nepo, the Parliament of the World Religions and many others. Sadly, no New Thought organizations were listed as supporters.
The Day of Revolutionary love website says “We will fight not with violence or vitriol, but by challenging the cultures and institutions that promote hate. In so doing, we will challenge our opponents through the ethic of love.”
